Our Traffic Management System as well as all our tools utilize the carrier's API's (application programmers interface) to offer you an economical SaaS (software as a service) web portal.
This methodology ensures that whenever there is a compliance or rate change with the carrier, our system is automatically updated as soon as the carrier changes take effect.
So too, the majority of our integrations to eCommerce sites, shopping carts and business software is also using API's to eliminate unnecessary programming.
We do however come across occasions when API's are not available and to facilitate the customer's needs whether it be integration or accommodating to existing business rules, we are happy to intervene. In fact, over half of our customers require custom programming to address vendor compliance, inventory or tracking specific KPI's. The goal is to eliminate the cost of human intervention and time.

Our rating process will always ensure that the best carrier is chosen for each shipping scenario whether the rates are provided by Shiplinc or the customer.
We will take your established business rules, our rates and your rates along with the individual aspects of the shipment to give you the best options.
These order specific nuances include the package dimensions, "ship to" address, number of packages to an order etc. We then rate shop among all available rates. The carrier can be either chosen from a screen displaying all the options or automatically selected.
Once the carrier is selected, a compliant label will be generated as well as any other compliant paperwork. For LTL shipments a Bill of lading will be printed with pallet labels and for International shipments all applicable SED's - Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin etc.
As stated earlier, the Shiplinc TMS technology utilizes the carrier's API's for the most up to date compliance while simultaneously leverages custom code to maintain a variety of rating processes specific to the individual shippers needs. Our users can access wasy to use intuitive set up screens to accomplish this.
The system also has the ability to integrate to host sites for order imports and data exports in a secure fashion also using user configured settings.
The Shiplinc Traffic Management System also accesses user configurable screens to accommodate carrier specific markup and discounted rating structures.
These configurations can also be implemented on an order by order basis with easy to set up batch shipping for multiple same product deliveries.
Because our TMS is a true multi-tenant enterprise solution, we are able to accommodate organizations with multiple facilities that may have different operational or integration needs. Even within the same physical warehouse or mailroom, workstations can operate under differing rules.
Because of our ability to take the specific needs of the shipper into account, we also handle other aspects of the logistic department such as RMA, Returns Management, Third party Shipping which also includes blind shipping for vendor to consumer fulfillment.

ShipLinc will provide fully underwritten parcel and LTL insurance for a fraction of what the carriers charge for up to $2,500.00 per package.
An added value of our insurance is that unlike many of the carriers, we will honor claims after the package has been delivered. This is crucial because most damage claims arise after the package has been opened.
Available to all our members is a very powerful analytics engine which will track all aspects of the shipment- from the point of shipping to delivery and all movement in between. If the system finds an anomaly while in route, the shipper will be notified.
The system constantly checks for any exceptions that will affect the carrier billing or ETA.
When an exception occurs, the system will electronically file for a refund or dispute a charge. Typically the exceptions have to do with a late delivery of an expedited shipment or an incorrectly assigned delivery surcharge such as a residential delivery to a legitimate business address or a misapplied address correction.
In either case, the system will continually poll the carrier host and if/when a refund is due, the refund gets credited to the shipper's bill automatically by the carrier.
In case of LTL , freight drop ships and third party billing processes, the system utilizes the carrier's EDI protocol to make visible all the anticipated charges. This allows for more timely invoicing by the distributor.
